Mr. Wong Ming-yam, Founding Director of InnoLink Investments Limited, is passionate about innovation and technology development. He serves as Director or Non-executive Director of a number of technology companies. Prior to this, he was the Senior Vice-President of Royal Philips Electronics. He has actively served society through membership of several government boards and committees for more than 35 years. He has been a member of the Assessment Panel of Small Entrepreneur Research Assistance Program, and member of Enterprise Support Scheme Assessment Panel of the Innovation and Technology Commission of HKSAR; Member of the Cyberport Advisory Panel; Member and Deputy Chairman of the Hong Kong Productivity Council; Director of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation; Chairman of the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited; Chairman of the CreateSmart Initiative Vetting Committee of Create Hong Kong, and an Ex-officio Member of the Steering Committee on Innovation, Technology and Re-industrialization of the HKSAR.

 

Among his many other public roles, he is Honorary Chairman of the Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association, and Semiconductor Nanotechnology Alliance; Member of Steering Committee on Research Themes and Topics of the Research Grants Council of HKSAR; Fellow Member of Hong Kong Green Strategy Alliance; Member of the Advisory Panel of Asia America MultiTechnology Association ( PRD ); Advisor of Orion Astropreneur Space Academy International Council; Member of Awards Committee on Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence; Mentor of Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Scholarship Award Scheme; Advisor of Society for Innovative Healthcare Hong Kong; and Chairman of the Departmental Advisory Committee, Department of Electrical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong.

 

Mr Wong was appointed Justice of the Peace in 1999 and was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star in 2012 and Silver Bauhinia Star in 2018 by the HKSAR Government in recognition of his distinguished public service and his long-term and exemplary contributions to promoting innovation and technology development in Hong Kong. Mr. Wong also awarded the Hong Kong Electronics Industry Outstanding Achievement Award in 2018 by the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, And conferred the title of Honorary Fellow of the University in 2021 by the City University of  Hong Kong.
